A Dryer Vent

And, no, I'm not talking about the vent on my dryer.  I'm actually venting my frustration at my dryer, that now, officially, takes FIVE HOURS to dry ONE load of clothes!  How am I ever supposed to get caught up with my laundry like this????

Oh, and to top it all off, I was planning all day that we would have risotto for dinner.  I began heating the broth in one pan.  Preheated the olive oil in another pan.  Pulled out the arborio rice, and inside the bag of rice were 2 dead bug-thingies.  GROSS!

UGH

I would check the vent tube going outside from the dryer, sometimes ours gets full of nasty stuff and we have to take it apart and empty it. On those occasions, yes, it does take 5 hours to dry a load of clothes.

Bugs in rice? Extra protein...if only we could be as lucky! Our rice has been pretty much bugless as of late...I may have to go to the garden and find something crunchy to add.

It's not the vent tube. I just cleaned it not too long ago. The dryer has been getting worse and worse for over a year now. It might be the heating element, or it just might be shot, I don't know which. Either way, we're calling someone out to take care of it before we're living in a house of dirty laundry!
