Prayers for Stellan

Last weekend, our family was so blessed to have the opportunity to meet this little guy and his very special family at the MckPicnic. After being an avid blog follower and prayer sender-upper for Stellan and family during the past year, it was so nice to finally meet them all in person!
Unfortunately, after getting ready for church, packing clothes and food for the picnic, I completely spaced bringing my camera (doggone it!), so I have no pictures of the event. HUGE bummer!
Over the last week or so, Stellan began having breakthrough SVT (super high heartrate that originates in the wrong electrical pathway...or something like that) again. His doctors consulted, and decided to try an experimental drug regime, to see if that could keep his heart beating as it should until Stellan is big enough to safely have another ablation.
Nevertheless, it would not appear that we have time on our side. Stellan's condition has deteriorated during the course of the last 24 hours. Decisions are being made right now, as to what the plan should be. Please keep Stellan, his medical team, and his family in your prayers. I know they appreciate all they can get!

Orange for Stellan

We are all wearing orange for Stellan today in support of him and his family while he has his ablation to hopefully correct whatever pathways are causing the SVT (supra ventricular tachycardia or very high heart rate) in his little heart. Stellan has been hospitalized for the past 4 weeks and counting, for awhile at our local Children's hospital (where Lily has spent quite a chunk of her life) and now in Boston. Another Prayer Request

Some of you may already praying for Baby Stellan and his MckMama. If you haven't heard yet, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Stellan is very sick at Children's Hospital with SVT (supra ventricular tachycardia or super high heart rate). He's been in the PICU for almost 2 days now, and I know there have been some pretty big care plan discussions between the cardiologists and his MckFamily. It's a scary position to be in, but I know they are in a wonderful hospital, with fabulous cardiologists, a pretty amazing cardio-thoracic surgeon, and many wonderful, caring nurses. Thank you.

I will actually be posting again about My Three Princesses soon. Homeschooling has been keeping me pretty busy as of late but soon....

Prayer Request

I have been praying for this family for a few weeks now. Their little twins have TTTS (Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome), just like mine did; however, their case has been much more severe. A few weeks back they had the laser procedure done to re-route the blood flow to the placenta, and it was successful......for a little while. Now the mom is back in the hospital and fighting to keep those sweet babies in as long as she can. One baby, Liana, isn't doing very well right now, and the possibility of delivery could be very near (they are currently 23 weeks). I know they will appreciate any prayers they can get. Thank you.

Keep my mom in your thoughts please

Two Saturdays ago, my mom and dad were at my sister's house.  As they were leaving, my mom fell down the cement stairs leading up to the house.  I guess they were waving good bye to Keatyn, and my mom missed a step.  Unfortunately, my mom has very severe osteoporosis, and she fractured her right humerus just above the elbow.  They transferred her via ambulance to Fargo to have surgery on it.  The surgeon had to put in a rod and pins, I believe, but he said he was happy with the way everything lined up.  

She's home now, and my aunt (my mom's youngest sister) is staying with her and my dad to help out.  Regrettably, the pain meds my mom is on are causing her kidney pain (she has an existing kidney stone, which they've found here at the U twice, but for whatever reason, they don't see it at their local hospital), so she's been very uncomfortable with that and has been getting pain shots at the ER and clinic as well.  

The last couple of times I spoke to her, she sounded a little better, but I think I also caught her at fairly good times, whereas, the other times I called she sounded extremely uncomfortable.  

Anyway, I know she'll appreciate all the thoughts and prayers that her arm heals well (and she's able to get full range of motion--ROM--out of it), and her discomfort can be controlled.  --Thank you!
