Yesterday was Elise's very first "real" motorcycle ride! Earlier this week we discovered that her feet actually do touch the pedals on the Honda (not quite on the BMW yet though), so we figured we'd have to look into getting her a helmet. Mark actually found one at a garage sale, like 5 houses down from us, for a buck. What a find!!
Elise was SO EXCITED! I told her for her treat, because she did so well with her Phonics, daddy could take her on a little ride. Now, Elise can be a bit timid about things, but she just hopped right up without any help at all. Mark said she giggled the whole time they were out! He just rode around the neighborhood (which is why he doesn't have a helmet on....it's a very rare occasion when we don't wear them, like almost never), and I think they got up to about 35 mph.
They had a blast!
