Saturday afternoon (following a bit of quiet time for the
extremely cranky troops), we decided we really must take advantage of the balmy, sunshiny day up here in the Frozen North. After bundling up five bodies, we made the trek into the front yard. Before long, a snowball fight ensued (Thank goodness Queen Mommy was in charge of the camera! I could throw 'em, but no one could throw back at me!).....

Sand toys.....they're not just for sand!

Leah's castle

Building a snow man (perhaps someday, we'll get creative enough to build other types of snow creatures).....

...complete with a snow face (and a Leah hug)...
....and silly string too!

Elise
loves sledding!

Leah is much more timid about it, but as long as she has her daddy near, she's just fine.

Lily and me taking a turn.

Perfect day to enjoy the mountains of snow that make up the front yard. Even more perfect to head inside for homemade hot cocoa and yummy baguettes spread with goat cheese, roasted red and yellow peppers, and just a bit of pesto afterward!
Stay tuned....very exciting news to come later today!
